Shooks Titan series expanding
side television trailers meet Mr. Webster’s definition
in every sense of the word. The Titan
series trailers are network quality vehicles designed for
high end (OB) Outside Television Broadcast production and
other specialized digital electronic equipment applications.
Titan vehicles are designed
with the same exacting standards of quality as the "Advantage"
series with the addition of the Shook
Titan expandable frame.
This innovative frame design (patent pending) is designed
to virtually eliminate the problems associated with current
expansion side technologies. All Shook built Titan
trailers and truck housings are designed to provide a minimum
of 20 years of service.
• The
Titan series trailer uses a monolithic, all steel
custom built frame that is the strongest in our industry.
In addition, aircraft type composite materials are used
to keep overall weight as low as possible while maintaining
a tensile strength several times that of materials that
have been used in the past. This means our trailer doesn’t
twist, bend, warp and bind when you deploy our fully automatic
expansion section.
• The Titan
frame doesn’t warp so this means that you don’t
have to spend hours trying to get absolutely level to set
up and do a shoot. In addition, because our frame doesn’t
twist we don’t leak when it rains. A real plus when
you have several million dollars of electronic equipment
inside!
• The Titan
design pays special attention to the air-conditioning, heating,
lighting power distribution, I/O panels, cabling and connectors.
Digital equipment temperature and power thresholds are much
more demanding than in the analog world. All racks are operated
under positive pressure assuring a dust free operating environment
for the electronic equipment as well as better overall air
flow, temperature balance and efficiency of the air conditioning
system.
• We provide a three (3)
year non prorated structural warranty on the Shook built
Titan
frame and expansion section against defects in material
and workmanship. Add this "peace of mind" to our
other standard features like stainless belly boxes, catalytic
paint and .125" (3mm) housing skins and the best broadcast
engineering skills in the business and we believe that you’ll
find the Shook Titan
